My name is Kayri and I returned to study several years ago to upgrade my teaching qualifications. This brought a new spark and desire to do better in the classroom, both for my students and for myself. I was exposed to many new teaching tools and techniques that allowed me to offer my students a relevant, engaging and up-to-date educational experience, all whilst meeting the requirements of the curriculum AND their individual learning needs.
Outside of the classroom, I am a mother to four young children of my own, two of whom have autism. As many parents would agree, parenting presents challenges and senses of achievement that we may not have been expecting, and parenting a child with additional needs is no different. I know that my abilities as a teacher are enriched because of my own firsthand experiences as a parent, and that I have a compassionate approach to ensuring that each child is supported to achieve their individual best.
Hi Kayri,
You are an inspiration for us all to be greatful for what we have. I don’t know how you do it with all of your challenges.
